Bowling...Not just a sport, but a real passion. My love for bowling started when I was a kid in New Jersey. I watched the Pro Bowlers Tour every Saturday Afternoon religiously and my parents bowled on a league team at Sparta Lanes in Sparta, NJ back in the 1980's. They called themselves "The Nite Owls". I went to their sessions and watched the action and took it all in so to speak.
The team died when my family moved to Pennsylvania. My parents bowled with us kids a few times but then, it ended altogether. My Dad even tossed out their stuff. We lost touch with our freinds we met in the league years ago. And that, I thought would be the end of bowling for my family. I was hellbound to not allow that to happen.
My league journey to bowling perfection began in 2001 at the Bangor Bowling Center when it was then known as "Slate Belt Lanes & Games" only to get it cut short when I was taken out when a cyst I never knew I had abcessed. It was a real mess.
So now, I've since bowled some open games with my beautiful wife, Erica whom I married in June, 2005 and that same passion for the game came back to me. I can't wait for the Fall leagues to start up. I will be there in force. I'm very happy to be back in it again.
So thats my story in a nutshell. I look foward to chatting and getting to know other like minded bowlers that are out there. I don't care if you are a tour pro or an amateur bowler like me. Please feel free to hook up with me and we can talk shop.
Thanks Big Tuna!!!!!!!!
